Client: Blue Olive Mart, HCMC, Vietnam

Problem: How do we develop a mini-supermarket that serves the needs of both local and expat clientele and create awareness for its services?

Upon returning to Vietnam after living abroad for many years, Mey Nghe had a dream of owning her own business.  After living in Spain for many years, Mey missed the community and convenience that a neighborhood corner market can bring. Seeing a need in the market for imported grocery goods and desiring to create a trusted neighborhood grocery , Mey began to envision a small imported grocery market that offered quality products at an affordable price.

For this project, Bouwer Consulting worked to help create a proposal for the initial project and identify products that would appeal to both consumer markets. Additionally, Bouwer Consulting worked to help create a marketing strategy to help create an awareness for the Blue Olive Mart brand. By collaborating and working together, Mey Nghe opened her supermarket in 2021.

Project Scope: Strategic Planning; Product Identification; Marketing

“I worked with Sarah for my mini supermarket project Blue Olive Mart. As a consultant, she is very knowledgeable and proactive. Sarah is very approachable, open, and she listened to my needs carefully. She helped me create a proposal and work through my initial concept, balancing my wants and market needs. Communication has been easy and smooth with her. She doesn’t always tell me what I want to hear, but definitely what I need to know and hear.

Thanks Sarah for all the contributions and advice. My project, Blue Olive Mart, has achieved its objective and was launched successfully in 2021! I am looking forward to working with her again with future projects!!!!”
