Client: Hope Unending, Vietnam

Problem: How do we create a sustainable office and systems when the organization is reliant on volunteers ?

As a small start-up non profit based in the vibrant city of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, Hope Unending has a large vision to serve those that are marginalized. However, being reliant on volunteers who generously contribute their time, skills, and expertise to the organization also meant that they were facing challenges in creating sustainable organization systems for long-term impact.

Partnering with Bouwer Consulting, the leadership team was able to work together to develop clarity around roles and responsibilities, create effective communication channels, develop simple systems that could be passed down, in addition to writing volunteer handbooks. All of these sustainable systems were designed to empower Hope Unending’s volunteers and enhance their overall organizational efficiency.

Project Scope: Organization Systems Development

Problem: How do we strategically develop a holistic program that meets a variety of needs for stakeholders within the community?

As Hope Unending worked with surrounding provincial governments, they secured an MOU to develop a multi-stage initiative aimed at raising awareness about vulnerability and human trafficking. By educating primary and secondary students, law enforcement, as well as the neighborhood community leaders, the goal was to empower these stakeholders with the knowledge and skills they needed to protect those who were vulnerable in their communities.

For this role, Bouwer Consulting worked collaboratively with the leadership team to help develop a strategic plan for this multi-dimensional initiative, along with determining the KPIs and evaluation process to be used for monitoring the program’s success.
